Youth Art Classes
Taught by professional artists
Combining the science of recycling with the visual arts is a fun, creative, hands-on program that also addresses real world problem solving. Students gain self-esteem as they learn a life long skill to share that knowledge with others in the community. It provides a springboard to creativity, for which the possibilities of topics and projects are boundless. Involving the "whole child" in the arts gradually teaches many types of literacy while developing intuition, sensitivity, reasoning, imagination, and dexterity. Learning in the arts nurtures active engagement, disciplined and sustained attention, persistence and risk-taking.
